The Final Exam will be a personal portfolio web site. No variation from this assignment will be approved You will present your web page to the class. It will consist of an Index page which is made of 3 frames. See Sample of these three finals. The left side frame will have three sets of links or link buttons if desired as described below. The top frame will have page rollover link buttons to each of your sites pages. All of the links will display into the third frame or main page frame. There will be at least five (5) separate main pages with these themes:
- A Home main page greeting the visitor with your personal information such as e-mail, telephone, dob, your full name, martial status, Address, city, state, zip code, and any thing else you want to say to your visitor, along with your photo.
- Hobbies page (Your hobbies, with some of your hobby photos).
- Travel page (Your travels, cities, countries, states with lots of photos).
- Education with expected education goals page.
- Work experience with your dream job page.
You will need a minimum of:
- One tables that have basic layouts of at least 12 cells.
- At least 10 separate graphics and at least one per page.
- Three (3) groups of links in left frame using ordered lists.
- First group is to be your four(4) best assignments
- Second group is to be your four(4) best HTML help sites
- Third group is to be your four(4) favorite sites
- Use an external style sheet to give your pages a consistent look.
I will look for these areas to grade the web site:
- Overall layout and appearance.
- Does the information given, answer the need for the page
- Is it a portfolio page for a certain person?
- Consistency of the look of the four pages.
- The ability for your user to navigate between all four pages..
- How you incorporate your graphics into the pages and how small the files are.
- Is the site technically sound.
- Does the web site stay within the guidelines of what the instructor has asked.
- ***Don´t get caught up in trying to do fancy things on your web site that we haven´t covered, it will only hurt you..
- ***Load your site up in the lab and take a look at it before class on the PC, in IE-6, Firefox and Netscape; this phrase will definitely lose points, "but it looked great on my computer at home"
